Here is the Final Part of two Posts giving details of our current exhibition at the Edinburgh Art Fair, The Corn Exchange, Edinburgh, which opened to the public on Friday 18th November (11:00 – 6:00 pm) and runs until Sunday 20th November 2011, (closes 5:00 pm). So as to give you a taste of what is being displayed, here is the second group of 5 artists containing: Noriko McTavish, Julia Nicholson, Sheena Phillips, May Snaddon and Simon Whitfield. Noriko McTavish has 8 works of wide-ranging variety, Julia Nicholson specialises in cats and the colours of Spanish beaches, Sheena Phillips has 8 mainly Edinburgh/Lothians watercolours on show, May Snaddon has 8 works in acrylic/watercolour including 1 of Venice, while Simon Whitfield has some Scottish mountains plus boat studies in oils, as follows:-

We are now publishing more details about our forthcoming exhibition at the Edinburgh Art Fair, opening on Thursday 17th November (6:30-9:30 pm) and running until Sunday 20th November 2011. Preparations are gaining pace and, although not all the images are yet to hand, we shall publish them in 2 sections, so as to give you an increasing taste of what is to be displayed. The first 5 artists out of a total of 10 are: Katherine S. Brown, Thora Clyne, David Hay, Edwin G. Lucas (1911-90) and Jos Mahon.

Should you require any further information on these artists, please click on any of the names below to access their biographical details. Katherine S. Brown has 8 mainly floral oils in our show, Thora Clyne has 5 figurative works on view, David Hay has 8 impressionistic abstract landscapes, the late Edwin Lucas has 4 works in differing styles & media, and Jos Mahon debuts on our stand with 8 dramatic sea/landscapes in oils/acrylics & watercolour, as follows:-

Hello again! Welcome to Hanover Fine Arts’ latest addition to its website (www.hanoverfinearts.co.uk) :- a place where all the latest news of art fairs, future exhibitions, information on artists taking part, plus all the images with captions and details for the forthcoming shows will be posted for browsing through.

As we get closer to an exhibition, details of all participating artists, along with images of their works will be uploaded to give you an overview of what’s in store for your viewing at this autumn’s Edinburgh Art Fair, Friday 18th – Sunday 20th November, at the Corn Exchange, 11 Newmarket Road, EH14 1RJ, www.artedinburgh.com.

Thora Clyne: 'Traghetto, Venice', Acrylic/Canvas (50 x 70cm) £480

be able to browse through what we shall have on view on our Stand No. B10 at the Art Fair this year. The image on the right is one of five of Thora Clyne’s works in this year’s Fair, entitled ‘Traghetto, Venice’, painted in Acrylic on canvas, size: 50 x 70 cm. The exhibition will contain original works in various media by 10 of our Gallery Artists, inc. Katherine S. Brown, Thora Clyne, David Hay, Edwin G. Lucas (1911-90), Jos Mahon, Noriko McTavish, Julia Nicholson, Sheena Phillips, May Snaddon and Simon Whitfield.

Here is the Final Part of Three Posts giving details of our imminent exhibition at the Laurel Gallery, 41 St. Stephen Street, Edinburgh, opening on Thursday 11th August (6:30 – 8:30 pm) and running until Friday 19th August 2011. Preparations are almost complete and, although not all the images are available, we are publishing them in 3 sections, so as to give you an increasing taste of what is being displayed. Here is the second instalment of details about our imminent exhibition at the Laurel Gallery, Edinburgh, opening on Thursday 11th August (6:30-8:30 pm) and running until Friday 19th August 2011. Preparations are nearly complete and, although not all the images are available, we are publishing them in 3 sections, so as to give you an increasing taste of what is to be displayed. The second group of 5 artists out of a total of 15 are: David Hay, Edwin G. Lucas (1911-90), Shona Macdonald, Noriko McTavish and Jos Mahon.

David Hay will have 4 semi-abstract landscapes in our show this time, Edwin G. Lucas (1911-90) has 3 Edinburgh cityscapes, Shona Macdonald has 2 Highland mountainscapes & 1 still life in oils, Noriko McTavish spans work from evening fireworks to a Kabuki ‘Umbrella Man’ (!), and Jos Mahon will have 1 large, energetic seascape, as follows:-
